Description: Due to Landslide in 2009 and increasing in size in 2010, Sandy River Road has been destabilized and shut down by the town. The Road will be realigned in this project and the enbankment will be stabilized by reducing its slope and utilizing a mix of rip rap and plantings. The length of the enbankment to be repaired and stabilized along the river edge is approx. 150 feet. The Sandy River is an Oustanding River Segment. The proposed project clearing of trees, excavation of a large hill, realignment of the roadway for approx. 400 feet, removal of debris from the river embankment, regarding the river embankment, placement of rip rap and planting of trees.
